(paint and metal) – (paint and plastic) – (paint and composite fibres)
When repairing dents, which often require the removal of bare paint/metal during the surface preparation stage for filler, traditional rubber sander backing pads have difficulty sanding the paint/metal edge because they ARE SOFT, so coarser grit abrasives are often used, increasing the sander’s RPM and applying a lot of pressure.
With the Skeletime® system this does not happen, because thanks to the steel blade that acts as a HARD barrier to the rubber of the sander’s backing pad, the paint and metal on the edges are sanded perfectly, even with abrasives one or two grains finer and at medium sanding speeds, without pressing.
Advantage of the Skeletime® system on essential pre-filling work:
- With low sanding speeds and without pressing, the repaired sheet metal remains intact because it does not overheat and does not deform.
- On the perfect sanding of paint and metal on the flattening of the edges, over time the filler applied and sanded to restore the repair, does not deform, because there are no steps.
- Thanks to the perfect sanding of paint and metal on the flattening of the edges, carried out with finer abrasives, allow the applied and sanded filler to not have coarse scratches around it, thus allowing to improve the subsequent phases of primer and paint with impeccable results of the final result.
