Check out the Patent of Skeletime and How it Work

Conventional sanding

Conventional backing pads are not suitable for curved surfaces. In addition, since they are made of yielding materials (rubber or similar), they do not provide optimum surface smoothing rigidity with planar surfaces.

Innovative Skeletime® Sanding

The Interface 45 Skeletime® Professional and SemiPrò with hard and non-sagging abrasive support, adapt ideally and efficiently to concave, convex and planar surfaces.

More Important Informations

Skeletime spreads the abrasive evenly over all the surfaces through a special independent steel sheet.

The foil creates an optimum condition for a hard backing, suitable for any working situation, recreating forms without undulations and perfect edges.

The special independent steel sheet Skeletime, is hard but flexible.
On one side it is covered with a tear-off adhesive to anchor the abrasive and on the other by a dedicated spongy material to be joined to the sanding backing pad.

During processing, the planar platorello of the sanders pushes and compresses the volumes of the spongy material. By reaction, the spongy material evenly pushes the steel sheet, with constant pressure and cushioning effect. The independent steel sheet, flexible but hard, together with the abrasive, will work on the perfect sanding of artifacts of the most different shapes.

The abrasive, combined with the steel foil backing, finds a non-sagging barrier in its own grain and it transfers more abrasive power. At the same time, pushed by the spongy material onto the work surface evenly under constant pressure with a cushioning effect, it transfers more finishing touch and sanding uniformity.
